Winnick of California State University, Los Angeles and Odysseus Consulting Services of California in collaboration with Universita Catholico del Sacro Cuore, Milano, Italy.
     

  • Educators’ Forum on Education, Democracy, Identity and Conflict, July 4-15, 2005 Faculty of Eduction, Bethlehem University.  I presented a lecture, which was followed by group discussions, on “Highlights and Perspective: The Modern History of Palestine,” on Wednesday July 5th.

  • Gave a general lecture on Palestine and the Palestinian – Israeli conflict in the Post-Arafat Era at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea on the 25th of March 2005.
     

  • I moderated a panel on the auto-biography of Bethlehem’s native Jabra Ibrahim Jabra as seen in his novel “The First Well” (al-Bi’r al-Ula) which was part of a scholarly conference on Jabra Ibrahim Jabra, 28-29 August 2004, which took place at Bethlehem University.
     

  • I participated in “Opening Horizons: A Dutch (IKU) Palestinian (AEI) Educators Seminar, 14 May, 2004.  I spoke on “Oral history and Self-Image of Palestinians in Palestinian Education: My Project with Bethlehem University History students”.
     

  • I gave a lecture to Dutch (IKU) College students, 5 May 2004, concerning the partition of Palestine, 1937-Present.
     

  • Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) and World Council of Churches (WCC), Urban Rural Mission; Workshop on Spiritual Approaches and Principles in Working with the Marginalized, Ayia Napa, Cyprus, 7 – 14 October, 2002. I gave a presentation on the Palestinian situation.
     

  • Seminar on “Eye-witness to Genocide: British, Danish and Italian Accounts of the Armenian Genocide”, Armenian Seminary Auditorium, Jerusalem, 13 June 2002. I presented a paper on the British account: “The Blue Book: The Viscount Bryce and Arnold Toynbee’s Report, 1916”.
     

  • The Fourth International Symposium for cooperation Among Historic Cities of the Mediterranean, March 1-3, 2000 Bethlehem, Palestine.  I presented a paper titled “The strangulation of Historic Cities:  The case of the Bethlehem Area, Palestine under Israeli Hegemony.”
     

  • Workshop on International Humanitarian Law, organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education, 19, 20, 21 February 2000 in Ramallah, Palestine.
     

  • Bethlehem Memories 1937: A Utopian Solution to the Palestinian Problem.  The case of Anton Yaqub al-’Ama (Lama) and the Esperantine State or United Jordan.  A lecture given at Wi’am Palestinian Conflict Resolution Center, Bethlehem on 22 April 1999, also see the scout publication, Nusour al-Mahd (Eagles of the Nativity), 5 March 2006.
     

  • The Second Palestinian Geographical Conference, Al-Quds University, Jerusalem, 26-28 April 1999 titled “The Palestinian State: Elements and Components”. I spoke on the Palestinian Declaration of State, 15 November 1988 and its significance to the newly emerging Palestinian state.
     

  • Philadelphia University, Jordan, Faculty of Arts.  4th International Conference, 4-6 May 1998, on Arab Culture and “Globalization”. I presented a paper on the historical roots of “Globalization” and its consequences on the Arab East.

  • International Symposium, The Evangelical Lutheran Christmas Church's International Center, Bethlehem, Oct. 1-8, 1995.  I presented a paper on the role of the Christian Arabs in the Modern History of the Middle East.
